Digg gone mad.

written May 1st, 2007 @ 8:15pm | kinda like: News, Technology

I have been a common Digg user. I check it every day and spend about an hour looking through the latest news and videos. Today I was shocked. The front page was completely flooded with story’s about the new HDDVD keys that have been reported around the net. However, the numbers aren’t the important thing to Digg users, it’s the fact that originally the messages were censored.

Digg which is supposed to be a democratic news source, is falling to the laws, and forced to censor the key codes. I find it rather depressing that Digg users are rioting the censorship, and getting mad at Digg and its founders. Now, in protest of the censorship, all a user can find is a story of the HDDVD key.

To all you Digg users out there supporting this activity, get a life. Digg is just another company that is forced to bow to the laws of the society we live in. We would all like to believe that the internet should be lawless, but it’s not, so get over it.
